Five tips to protect yourself from online fraud:

  1. We will never ask you to send, update or confirm your personal details via email or over the phone.
  2. We will never send you an email requesting that you click on a link that will redirect you to our Internet Banking page. Only ever access Internet Banking through www.standardbank.co.za
  3. Never give anyone your ATM pin or other pins/passwords for Cellphone or Internet banking.
  4. When using your card to pay for items, never let your card out of your site. Ask that merchant brings the card machine to you, or go with him if it is not portable.
  5. Use our security features to ensure you have a safe and secure banking experience. This includes the free Rapport software. If you suspect any strange activity on your account, call 0800 222 050.
